Join us on a day trip around the full archipelago ring. Starting off from Turku, we island hop using many of the small car ferries aorund the whole archipelago trail and return to Turku in the early evening. This is a great way to get a taste of the archipelago. You will notice the further into the archipelago we get, the smaller and quieter the roads become. A lot of the ferry trips are only 5 or 10 mins long. A couple of them are 30 mins and one ferry trip is an hour long cruise in the outer archipelago. If you love boats, ships or the sea, you’ll be in heaven. The longer ferries tend to have cafe’s on them and most ferries have WC’s on them.

We can’t do too much sight seeing in each individual town or village along the way, because it’s quite a long day as it is, but we’ll do a quick stop in each town and at each ferry harbour for you to stretch your legs and have a quick look around. We have very small groups and quite often it will just be you, so quite often it will feel like a VIP tour 🙂 Small and sustainable travel is the perfect way to explore the archipelago. Amazingly, we don’t get that many tourists visiting our archipelago, so it’s very quiet and peaceful. I know overtourism is a problem in many places these days, well not in Finland! All archipelago businesses are absolutely delighted to welcome you and we warmly thank you for choosing our little corner of the world.

What you need:
Despite what you think about Finland being a cold country, we have incredible summers. We have long sunny days and quite calm weather. In May, June, July and August, you can expect 25°C to 30°C temps in the day time. That being said, out in the archipelago and at sea, it can be a little windy, so I recommed you bring a waterproof/windproof layer just incase the weather isn’t perfect. If its grey and raining, a light shell jacket over a hoody should be fine. If it is sunny, it’s shorts and T-shirt weather. But sitting on the top deck of the ferry with the Baltic wind hitting you, even on a sunny day it’s good to have something to go over the T-shirt.

We have a cool box in the car with cold drinks and snacks readily available. If you wanna bring your own stuff too, we can put them in the cool box as well.
